Hey, it’s me!

I truly believe my work takes emotions and brings them into tangible elements, to be looked at, recalled, and understood. I amplify the love and connection in each couple by using natural elements, their unique personalities and the information I gathered throughout the consultation phase. I'm a strong believer that you have to have passion for what you do in order to do it well. That’s why I’m excited to mark my 16th season as a professional portrait and wedding photographer in 2025!

As cheesy as it sounds, I am most inspired by couples who have found their one -- That person who they can truly consider their best friend, confidant and point of happiness. As someone who’s coming up on 10 years of marriage myself, I understand the importance of capturing important moments in your lifetime for my own memory and as a legacy to my three children.

A little deeper….

I've always been interested in the visual arts and began my photography career after finishing my degree in professional journalism at the University of Minnesota and moving to California. In San Francisco I began photographing events, performances and fashion shows as the photography intern at the internationally famous Supperclub. From there I ventured into the realm of fashion photography and continued to photograph weddings, learning from other photographers and artists around the world along the way. Today I am a proud member of PPA (Professional Photographers Association) and TCPPA (Twin Cities Chapter), as well as a member of TCWEP (Twin Cities Wedding & Event Professionals). Continuing education and growth in my art is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to me, so I’m constantly learning and experimenting with different techniques and photographic styles.

What is The Feisty Atelier?

An “atelier” is a physical studio workspace, currently being built by my husband, Doug, and myself in St. Louis Park, MN. I wanted to give this long-planned studio space a unique and bold name that fits the spirited luxury brand I’ve built.

At The Feisty Atelier, I specialize in bold, editorial, and luxury photography that captures the essence of each person, couple, and family with timeless elegance. Rooted in high-end artistry and storytelling, my approach is a seamless blend of candid emotion, refined details, and high-fashion sophistication.

When complete, the space will be my office, a meeting place for clients to review photos and prints, as well as a photography studio. I cannot wait to share it with you!
