2022 was my best year yet.

I feel fulfilled in my ability to capture stories in my own style, while still challenging myself as an artist. I’m constantly pushing myself to make captivating images and each year I feel proud to be getting better and better.

If you didn’t catch the drama, I was pregnant with my third baby and gave birth peak wedding season in August to our third daughter, Desi. We have two older toddlers, so having three kids under 5 years old is a challenge in itself, photographing the majority of the season with a HUGE baby belly in the middle of a humid summer is a whole other accomplishment.

I finally caught covid this year, in October, which was a bummer because October 2022 in Minneapolis was gorgeous! It was warmer than usual and the golden hues seemed to stick around longer than what we’re used to. I was hit hard and had to cancel a couple family sessions, but I’m thankful I recovered after about two weeks down.

I was also reminded how important photos are to our memories when our family said goodbye to our first “baby” — our adopted dalmation Cooper, who suddenly fell ill and passed away on Halloween.

This quick collection of my favorites from most* of my engagement sessions and weddings highlights the best of the best. I’ll be sharing more on each wedding into Spring, as I didn’t have much time to share anything last year.
