Wedding Fair
Follow Up Information
Hi! I’m Heather. You should see this page if you recently met me at a Wedding Fair.
QUESTIONS YOU SHOULD ASK:
When we book with you, who will ultimately photograph our wedding?
- When you book with Heather Hanson, you get me (Heather Hanson), the only exception being if I were extremely ill, I have it written in my agreement that I will find you another exceptional and amazing photographer for your day (you don’t have to stress about finding someone else)
Can you photograph in dark indoor venues?
- Absolutely, I use a combination of small lighting devices to help illuminate you on the dance floor and in other dark settings. If you want to see examples of the venues I've shot, click here!
What do we get?
- All packages include a pre-wedding meeting to discuss timeline and digital photos delivered with a weblink to share with friends and family. Pick from a variety of print and album options, or print your own. Clients receive 8 x 10” image files for smaller printing and a personal-use print license. Full-size images may be purchased at an additional cost (file sizes vary, but can be up to 22” in length at 300ppi).
Why only 8 x 10” file sizes?
- At this size, you are able to print standard photo ratios (4 x 6", 5 x 7”, 8 x 10”) on your own without having massive files stored on your computer. If you’d like to print anything larger, your photographer will know special techniques to ensure the clarity, cropping, and (most importantly) quality of the piece.
How many photos do we get?
- I strongly believe there is a difference in "quantity vs. quality". I aim for a minimum of 700 quality images in an 8-hour wedding session. I never guarantee a specific minimum or maximum number of photos though, as each session is geared to each individual couples needs.
How Long does it take to receive our edited photos?
- 2 weeks for delivery in Engagement Sessions, 4 - 6 weeks for delivery in Wedding Sessions.
Should we get engagement photos, even if we already sent out "Save the Dates"?
- I always recommend having a session with your wedding photographer before your wedding, for several reasons. The first is that you will get to know each other better before the chaos of your wedding day, and get more comfortable being in front of the camera. The second is that you can learn what to expect in terms of direction and posing. Finally, you can also review the photos from your engagement shoot and provide feedback to your photographer if there are things that you love, or would prefer not to repeat for poses. Overall, it builds up confidence in who you have helping you on your big day!
Hey there!
I’m so happy we connected at the The Wedding Fair!
